Welcome To The Course

It is my pleasure to be welcoming you to CS12, This course is an introductory class on how to use computers to simplify our lives. This website is here for you to check your grades, if your in my section. For actual study material and up to date announcements, please check the official CS12 webpage. Syllabus

This course is an introduction to the use of the personal computer in the home and office. It provides an overview of microcomputer applications including a brief introduction to hardware and software concepts, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Excel, Microsoft Office Access, Microsoft Office PowerPoint, web pages, and integration of the applications.

This course is split into 2 parts, a lecture and a lab portion. In the lecture fundamentals of computer applications will be covered. In the lab you will work with Microsoft Office.

There will be 3 hands on problem solving exams (Word, Excel and Access), quizzes, homework assignments, a web project, and a final. Each problem solving exam will be administered during the lab section of the course. The date and format of the final will be announced in the lecture.
